Sideline Cheer
About the Wilcox Sideline Cheer Team
The Cheerleading Team at Wilcox has a long tradition at Wilcox.
Currently our Sideline Cheer Teams, we have JV and Varsity, participate at our Football and Basketball games and may attend other sporting events as well. We participate in our school rallies, local events like the Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival, Special Olympics at Wilcox, Best Buddies Dances, The Homecoming Parade, Freshman Orientation and each Fall we host a Junior Cheer Clinic.
Tryouts for Sideline Cheer are in the Spring each year for the following year. Mainly our events take place during the Fall and Spring, but there are summer activitie as well.
** During the spring sport season, Wilcox had a STUNT Cheer Team which operates as a sport and has tryouts in late January or early February on the same schedule as other Spring Athletic Teams. This is a completely separate activity than Sideline Cheer

Donations Needed
We are a self-fund group who provides uniforms, warm-ups, bags, shoes, camp fees, competition fees, travel, etc. The only financial support is received from the district which pays a stipend to our coach. We hold several fundraisers throughout the year. In addition, we seek donations of any dollar amount at any time! If you happen to work for a company that matches donations, please consider donating to the Wilcox Cheer Program and we'll ensure to verify your donation to take advantage of corporate donation matching.
