Girls Basketball

The Wilcox High School Girls Basketball Program ranked in the Central Coast Section, MaxPreps and Prep2Prep Top 20 in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019. They advanced to the CCS Final Four (Division's I and II) from 2016-2019. In 2018-2019, the Chargers participated in the California Interscholastic Federation State Girls Basketball Championships in Division III. In addition to success on the court, our program encourages excellence in the classroom as well. In 2019-2020, the Chargers were awarded the CCS Scholastic Team Award with a collective GPA of 3.8625. 

 

The Chargers will return to the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League El Camino Division I for the 2024-2025 season.  

**8/14/24 UPDATES for the 2024-2025 Season**

 

The official start of our season is scheduled from Monday, November 4th, 2024 thru Tuesday, February 18th, 2025. During that time, we will have practices and games Monday-Saturday with a few select holidays. 

 

Attendance is MANDATORY for ALL scheduled practices and games!

 

TENTATIVE tryout schedule is as follows - Please check back for updates

- Monday, 11/4: JV (4:00-6:00pm), Varsity (6:00-8:00pm) - ALL Freshmen report to JV tryouts

- Tuesday, 11/5:  JV (4:00-6:00pm), Varsity (6:00-8:00pm)

- Wednesday, 11/6: JV (4:00-6:00pm), Varsity (6:00-8:00pm)

 

Location for all tryout dates/times will be in the Wilcox High School Auxiliary Gym. Please dress appropriately for athletic activity. No cleats, sandals, or jewelry!

 

Attendance is MANDATORY for tryouts!

If you are currently participating in a fall sport, be sure to let us know so we can confirm you are cleared to tryout and will expect you at the end of your season.
